No matter how Trump and Vance try to divide us,

Stand together 13.png

The fight for our right to healthcare isn’t over — it’s just getting started

 we will stand united
 We will fight on
 Because we are stronger together

URGENT PETITION:

 Hands off our healthcare

 Protect Medi-Cal now

More than 4.5 million LA County residents depend on Medi-Cal for doctor visits, emergency care, mental health services, and prescriptions. Trump and Vance's proposed federal Medicaid cuts would devastate our hospitals, eliminate jobs, and leave our most vulnerable neighbors without care.

Using LA County’s access to healthcare as a political pressure tactic is wrong, inhumane, and puts ALL OF US at risk.

This isn't a partisan issue. It's a Los Angeles issue. Sign on to demand our federal representatives reject any cuts to Medicaid — and keep LA ready for whatever comes next.

• OVER 200,000 LA RESIDENTS HAVE ALREADY LOST THEIR HEALTHCARE • TRUMP AND VANCE SLASHED $700B FROM OUR HEALTHCARE • VANCE IS HOLDING $1.3B HOSTAGE FROM CA • 14.9M CALIFORNIANS RELY ON MEDI-CAL • 5M CHILDREN RELY ON MEDI-CAL • 38% OF CALIFORNIA IS ENROLLED IN MEDI-CAL

WHAT'S AT STAKE

We're fighting for a Los Angeles where care is a right, not a privilege. Where the new mom, the construction worker, and the grandparent on dialysis can all see a doctor without choosing between their health and their rent. Where the emergency room down the street stays open and the neighborhood clinic keeps its lights on.

Because healthcare was never only about appointments and prescriptions. It is about what that care makes possible: the freedom to live full lives on our own terms, with less time spent in waiting rooms and more time spent living.

That is what Medi-Cal makes real for 3.5 million of us across LA County. It is the promise that in this city, no one faces a health crisis alone.

Trump's cuts are pulling that promise apart. But our strength has always been each other. When we stand together, as patients, providers, and neighbors, we are stronger. We're here to put the promise back together and make it stronger than before.

WHY NOW

Because a Los Angeles where we can access the healthcare we need so we can spend more time doing what we love is still within reach, and the decisions made this year decide whether we get there.

The pressure is real. Vance is withholding $1.3 billion from California, new federal rules take hold this year, and coverage protections expire this fall. But this is exactly the moment our voices matter most. We are building a coalition too large to ignore and a movement that outlasts any single cut.

The future of LA's healthcare — of your healthcare — is being   written right now.

GET INVOLVED

When we unite, we win — because we’re stronger together.

Healthcare is a human right, and the attacks on California's healthcare are worth fighting with everything we have. Health Justice United brings everyday Californians, patients, doctors, community leaders, faith groups, labor groups, and rights organizations together under one banner.
